Drukair selects LEAP engines for five Airbus aircraft

Drukair, Bhutan’s national flag carrier, has finalized an order for five new Airbus A320neo-family aircraft in 2024. The deal includes three A320neos and two A321XLR models, all powered by CFM International's LEAP-1A engines. CEO Tandi Wangchuk expressed satisfaction with the strengthened partnership between Drukair and CFM through this purchase. These new aircraft will significantly expand Drukair’s fleet capabilities. This investment underscores Bhutan’s commitment to modernizing its aviation infrastructure and enhancing connectivity within the region.
