United Taps Houston For “Elevated” 787-9 Expansion, Names 4 Long-Haul Destinations

United Airlines is strategically expanding its Boeing 787-9 fleet operations by establishing a new hub in Houston, Texas. This expansion directly supports United’s commitment to enhancing long-haul international travel options for passengers. Three initial routes are slated to commence service beginning in October of this year. These inaugural flights will connect Houston (IAH) with four distinct destinations across the globe. The fourth route, representing the final addition to this ambitious initiative, is currently projected to launch in January 2027.
