IndiGo waits for A350s to restore widebody operations after axing 787 damp-leases

IndiGo has temporarily suspended its London Heathrow route due to the termination of a Boeing 787 damp-lease agreement with Norse Atlantic Airways. The Indian carrier’s decision follows the conclusion of the deal, which had facilitated their widebody operations. All IndiGo widebody flights will cease from October 25th as the airline awaits delivery of its Airbus A350-900 aircraft. Currently, IndiGo is utilizing A321XLRs on its Amsterdam service in response to this change. This strategic shift reflects IndiGo's proactive approach to maintaining operational capacity and passenger connectivity following the disruption.
