The “Discover Airlines Shark” takes flight

Discover Airlines initiated regular scheduled service utilizing an Airbus A330 outfitted with Lufthansa Technik’s AeroSHARK surface technology, representing the initial operational deployment of this modification. The aircraft, identified as D-AIKP, undertook its inaugural long-haul journey to Florida on Thursday, October 15th. This landmark flight occurred following completion of the AeroSHARK fitting in Dresden. The innovative technology is designed for fuel savings during commercial flights. Discover Airlines now operates the world's first regularly scheduled passenger aircraft equipped with this specific adaptation.
