SpiceJet to lease 20 aircraft as it aims to ramp up again for winter

Indian low-cost carrier SpiceJet is planning to increase its operations in preparation for the upcoming winter season. The airline has reached an agreement to lease a total of twenty aircraft, according to a LinkedIn post and subsequent report by the Economic Times. This move will significantly bolster SpiceJet’s fleet size and operational capacity. The leasing arrangement was confirmed by SpiceJet itself via social media. FlightGlobal reported that this strategy aims to revitalize the struggling Indian carrier's business following previous difficulties.
