SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket-landing team gets 1st-ever Neil Armstrong Space Prize

The SpaceX Falcon 9 Booster Landing Team was honored with the inaugural Neil Armstrong Space Prize at an event held in Washington, D.C., on September 15th. This prestigious award recognizes their remarkable achievement in successfully landing the booster of the historic Inspiration4 mission. The team’s efforts culminated in achieving a perfect touchdown following the launch of the Dragon spacecraft carrying four civilian passengers into orbit. NASA presented the prize to the team acknowledging their pivotal role in advancing reusable rocket technology. Representatives from Blue Origin and Virgin Galactic were also present at the ceremony.
