Passion Meets Precision at NASA’s Flight Research Lab

Three individuals – Derek Abramson, Justin Hall, and Justin Link – began their careers with a deep-seated interest in radio-controlled aircraft development, spending formative years constructing and experimenting with these models in their personal spaces. Their dedication led them to participate in hobby aviation events where they tested and refined their designs. This foundational experience directly contributed to their eventual roles within NASA's Dale Reed Subscale Flight Research Laboratory located at the Armstrong Flight Facility. The laboratory focuses on supporting NASA’s future aerospace breakthroughs through rigorous testing and innovation of new technologies. These early efforts demonstrate how passion for flight can translate into significant contributions to advanced aeronautical research programs.
