Skydive PC-6 fatally stalled on take-off after smoke seen and engine speed fell

A Pilatus PC-6 aircraft experienced a fatal loss of control accident near Nancy, France, resulting in the deaths of all eleven occupants onboard. French investigators reported that smoke was observed within the cabin during the aircraft’s takeoff attempt. The aircraft reportedly stalled, initiating a left roll before ultimately crashing at Tomblaine. Neither the pilot nor the ten skydivers were able to survive this tragic event. Preliminary findings suggest an engine speed decrease coincided with the observation of smoke prior to the crash.
