Red Sea Airlines to lease two 737 MAX 8s

Red Sea Airlines, based in Egypt, has finalized a leasing agreement with SMBC Aviation Capital for the acquisition of two Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. The deal was formally signed by Chief Executive Ahmed Shanan and Chairman Hatem Kenawy alongside board members at Red Sea Airlines headquarters. Deliveries are slated to commence during July and August of 2027. This expansion represents a significant step forward for the airline’s fleet modernization strategy. The new aircraft will bolster Red Sea Airline's operational capabilities within the Egyptian aviation market.
