Qantas has confirmed its second Project Sunrise flight will operate a direct route between Sydney, Australia, and New York City, United States. This initiative represents the culmination of years of development focused on simulating nighttime travel conditions for passengers. The aircraft utilized for this service will be Qantas’ Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet. Operational details indicate that the flights are scheduled to commence in late October 2024, initially operating three times per week.
