JetBlue wins Spirit’s slots at New York LaGuardia

JetBlue Airways secured a substantial portion of Spirit Airlines' operations following the carrier’s collapse in 2026. Specifically, JetBlue won the right to acquire 22 take-off and landing slots at New York’s LaGuardia airport. This acquisition was finalized through a bid totaling $58.5 million. Frontier Airlines submitted a competing offer of $57.5 million for these same slots. The deal was approved by the US Southern District of New York, solidifying JetBlue’s position within the competitive Northeast travel market.
