Kazakhstan’s SCAT to enter cargo sector with 767-300ER freighter conversion deal

SCAT Airlines, a Kazakh carrier, is set to expand its operations into the freight sector by utilizing a converted Boeing 767-300ER aircraft. This move follows an agreement reached between SCAT and Boeing regarding the modification of the twinjet under the Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) program. Boeing officially announced this partnership at the Farnborough air show, detailing the specifics of the conversion project. The BCF deal will allow SCAT to operate cargo flights using the modified freighter. Currently, SCAT operates a fleet consisting primarily of Airbus A320 family aircraft and Embraer regional jets.
