Japan and India conduct ‘advanced’ bilateral air exercises, signalling growing alignment

Japan and the Indian Air Force completed a two-week training activity known as Veer Guardian at Air Force Station Jodhpur. This joint exercise focused on enhancing interoperability between the JASDF and IAF. The Mitsubishi F-2 aircraft, operated by Japan, was deployed to the sub-continent for the first time during this annual event. Multiple advanced exercises were conducted throughout the 14-day period, involving both air forces. These bilateral activities represent a growing alignment between Japan and India within the defense sector.
