Mexico adds second C-130J-30 tactical transport

Mexico has solidified its position as a leading Latin American operator of the Lockheed Martin C-130J tactical transport, following the addition of a second aircraft to its military airlift fleet. Lockheed Martin officially confirmed on September 23rd that the Mexican air force (FAM) had placed an order for another C-130J-30 Super Hercules. This new acquisition represents a stretched-fuselage variant of the renowned C-130J platform. The FAM initially became the first nation in Latin America to operate this advanced transport earlier this year. Experts anticipate this expansion will significantly bolster Mexico’s logistical capabilities and strategic reach.
