On September 8th, a technical failure at the United Kingdom’s air traffic control provider caused widespread disruption across European airspace. Approximately 975 flights were affected by the outage, impacting airlines and passengers globally. The issue originated with NATS Regional Services, which operates the UK's air traffic control system for several countries.
