14 Gates: Newark Liberty To Expand Its Newest Terminal After Opening Just 3 Years Ago

Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is planning to expand its newest terminal, Gate 14, following its opening just three years ago in December 2020. The expansion will involve adding 14 gates to accommodate increased passenger traffic and airline operations. This project represents a significant investment by EWR’s parent company, Global Eagle Holdings, which has committed $500 million for the construction. Construction began earlier this year with an expected completion date of late 2024. The addition of these new gates aims to enhance operational efficiency and cater to growing demand at one of New York City's busiest airports.
