The sheer size of the A380, with a gross takeoff weight of approximately 574 tonnes, allows for the installation of a dedicated shower facility. This substantial volume also provides sufficient water storage capacity necessary for these services. Economically, operating showers on the A380 proves viable given the high passenger numbers it typically carries. Consequently, other airlines have deemed this particular configuration too costly to implement.
