USAF reveals fleet targets for new autonomous aircraft, names for FQ-42 and FQ-44

The United States Air Force has designated specific targets for its upcoming squadron of autonomous fighter jets, the FQ-42 and FQ-44. General Atomics’ FQ-42 will be known as the Vengeance, reflecting its intended role in offensive operations. Anduril's FQ-44 will maintain its company name, Fury, with a projected fleet size of 500 aircraft by 2032. The USAF plans to field these new unmanned systems alongside existing assets, enhancing overall combat capabilities.
