United Aircraft closing on Indian SJ-100 licensing terms

United Aircraft is finalizing a licensing agreement for the localized production of the Yakovlev SJ-100 aircraft in India, according to its chief, Vadim Badekha. The announcement was made during the Innoprom 2026 event held in Delhi. Approximately eighty percent of the key terms have already been agreed upon, signaling significant progress toward establishing this partnership. United Aircraft anticipates securing operator agreements as part of their strategy following the Aero India 2027 airshow. This initiative represents a crucial step in expanding the reach and manufacturing capabilities of the Russian aerospace manufacturer.
