Amazon 767 overrun: Thrust increased to go-around power 15s after touchdown

US investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding the fatal Boeing 767-300 freighter overrun at Miami International Airport. Shortly after landing, pilots elevated the aircraft’s thrust levers to go-around power for a period of fifteen seconds. This action occurred following initial contact with the runway surface. Subsequently, the thrust was reduced to idle settings. The National Transportation Safety Board is currently investigating this incident and has not yet confirmed whether an abort attempt was made prior to touchdown.
