Unintended nose-down trim preceded hard landing that fractured ERJ-145 wing

A JSX aircraft experienced a hard landing at Houston’s Hobby airport two years ago, resulting in significant damage to an Embraer ERJ-145LR. The incident was initiated by unintentional nose-down pitch trim during the final approach phase of flight. Impact forces measured nearly 3.88g, indicating a substantial level of deceleration upon touchdown. This near-3.9g impact led directly to a fracture within the aircraft's wing structure. Investigators are currently reviewing Captain’s approach technique following this serious accident involving JSX Air.
