Ukraine claims longest-range strike of war, deep inside Russian territory

On September 9th, Ukraine reported conducting a long-range attack targeting two gas plants located approximately 1,800 kilometers (2,900km) within Russian territory. These strikes utilized FP-1 attack drones, marking what Kyiv describes as the farthest reach of any operation during this conflict. The targeted facilities were situated in the Yamalo-Nenets region of Siberia. This represents the longest-range strike claimed by Ukraine throughout the course of the war. Ukrainian officials asserted responsibility for the assault on the energy infrastructure.
