The 325th Fighter Wing conducted tests to evaluate the F-35A Lightning II’s air-to-ground precision-guided munitions capabilities utilizing live ordnance at Hill Air Force Base, Utah on August 11, 2026. This evaluation was part of the Weapons System Evaluation Program – Combat Hammer 26.07 exercise. Personnel deployed from Tyndall AFB to support this critical testing phase. The objective focused specifically on assessing the performance of the aircraft while employing its air-to-ground weaponry. Data gathered during these trials will contribute to future operational improvements and enhance combat readiness for the F-35A.
