TAI expands launch options for Simsek-K system

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) has broadened its operational capabilities for the Simsek-K unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The company recently achieved a successful launch of the Simsek-K from a rail utilizing a rocket booster, implementing a new rocket-assisted take-off (RATO) system. This RATO system significantly increases the available launch methods for the UAV. TAI intends to utilize the Simsek-K as either a one-way strike system or for other applications. Development continues on Turkish UAV technology with this recent advancement.
