Korean Air and Asiana low-cost units to merge by March 2027

Following the integration of Korean Air and Asiana Airlines, a merger of several low-cost carriers is set to conclude by March 2027. Jin Air, owned by Korean Air, will maintain its branding as part of this consolidation. Air Busan, Air Seoul, and Jin Air will unite into a single operating entity. The boards of directors for all three airlines have approved the proposed merger plan. This strategic move aims to create a more streamlined and competitive low-cost airline group within South Korea.
