Spain orders lightweight A900 rotorcraft for uncrewed maritime surveillance evaluation

Spain has commissioned Alpha Unmanned Systems to provide the CEVENTA experimentation unit with its lightweight A900 rotorcraft. The selection follows an assessment of maritime surveillance capabilities, marking a significant step in Spain’s unmanned systems strategy. Alpha Unmanned Systems will deliver at least three A900 unmanned helicopters specifically designed for maritime operations. This contract was announced on September 3rd by the Madrid-based company. The project aims to evaluate the performance and suitability of these rotorcraft within the Spanish navy's operational environment.
