Regent Craft successfully completed the inaugural crewed flight of its prototype ‘Viceroy’ seaglider, a ground-effect aircraft designed for short-range travel. The flight took place in Rhode Island off Narragansett Bay during a scheduled test program. During the thirty second test duration, the prototype achieved an altitude of thirty-three feet above the water surface. This marks a significant milestone as it represents the initial manned operation of the electric vessel. US firm Regent Craft intends to continue testing and development efforts with this innovative craft.
