Somon Air takes delivery of first 737 MAX

Somon Air has received its inaugural Boeing 737-8 aircraft, marking the initial airline operating this particular variant within Tajikistan. This delivery represents a key step in Somon Air’s strategy for fleet modernization and broadening its operational network capabilities. The new airplane is being leased from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) as part of a two-aircraft agreement. These 737-8s will primarily serve short-and medium-haul routes throughout Central Asia. Somon Air's acquisition aligns with broader plans to enhance service offerings and expand market reach.
