Ribbon-Cutting Event for NASA Deep Space Network’s Deep Space Station 23

On August 25th, 2026, a ribbon-cutting event took place at the Deep Space Network's Goldstone complex near Barstow, California, marking the completion of the Deep Space Station 23 antenna. Leadership from NASA Headquarters, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and the Deep Space Network were present for the occasion. The new antenna is part of the DSN Aperture Enhancement Project managed by Germaine Aziz at JPL. Bradford Arnold served as the manager overseeing this critical project’s development. This expansion represents an important step in enhancing the network’s capabilities for deep space communications.
