RECARO unveils next-gen R4 premium seat

RECARO Aircraft Seating has revealed the R4, a new premium-class aircraft seat focused on enhanced ergonomics and passenger comfort alongside increased airline flexibility. This innovative design represents the evolution following the introduction of the PL3530 in 2015. The R4 is currently ETSO-certified for use with Boeing 787 aircraft, marking a significant advancement in seating technology. Production commenced in June 2026, signifying the start of deliveries to airlines worldwide. RECARO continues to pursue additional certifications to broaden the R4’s operational capabilities across various aircraft models.
