Milestone sells trio of H225s to Kitz-Air for firefighting conversion

Milestone Aviation has finalized the sale of three Airbus Helicopters H225 heavy-twin helicopters to Austrian operator Kitz-Air. The transaction, completed in August 2026, will see the aircraft converted into specialized firefighting machines. Germany’s Global Helicopter Services is responsible for undertaking the modifications required for this purpose. These helicopters were initially delivered to Milestone Aviation back in July and are slated for operations across Europe and South. This conversion represents a significant step in bolstering aerial firefighting capabilities within the region.
