Cessna 441 bound for Alaskan radar site struck terrain after missed approach in poor weather

A Cessna 441 Conquest, carrying eight individuals including two pilots and military personnel, crashed into high terrain near Cape Newenham airport in Alaska following a missed approach. The aircraft was en route to an Alaskan radar site when the incident occurred during poor weather conditions. Army engineers were among those passengers aboard the chartered flight at the time of the crash. Investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident which took place close to Cape Newenham airport. Authorities confirmed that none of the eight occupants survived the impact with the rugged landscape.
