Lufthansa City to trial drag-reducing ‘AeroShark’ film on domestic A319 flights

Lufthansa City is planning a trial of the ‘AeroShark’ drag-reducing film across its domestic operations, specifically targeting Airbus A319 aircraft. Approximately seventy patches will be applied to the fuselage and engine cowlings as part of this initiative. Lufthansa Technik has previously expanded testing of the ‘AeroShark’ technology onto twenty-two widebody aircraft operated by Lufthansa Group carriers. The goal of this project is to reduce fuel burn during flights. This expansion represents a significant step in utilizing innovative solutions for operational efficiency within the airline industry.
