Cessna’s Next-Generation CJ3 Prototype Makes Debut Test Flight

Textron Aviation unveiled the prototype of its next-generation CJ3 light business jet during a test flight on July 18, 2024, at Textron's headquarters in Wichita, Kansas. The aircraft represents the company’s ongoing efforts to modernize its popular CJ series. This new CJ3 incorporates enhanced performance capabilities and improved cabin comfort features. Textron Aviation is targeting certification for both the CJ3 and the M2 models by 2027.
