Leonardo, Lockheed to explore C-130J MRO boost

Leonardo and Lockheed Martin have formalized an agreement with the potential to significantly increase Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) support for the C-130J tactical transport aircraft. This new partnership will concentrate on bolstering MRO activities within Europe, the Middle East, and Northern Africa regions. The initiative aims to expand operational capabilities by providing enhanced maintenance services for this vital military asset. Currently, approximately 570 C-130Js have been delivered globally, representing a substantial fleet reliant on robust logistical support. Leonardo specifically highlighted the focus of the collaboration as centered around expanding European MRO operations.
