Japanese F-15 suffers landing gear collapse during landing in Okinawa

A Boeing F-15J fighter jet operated by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) suffered a landing gear collapse while attempting to land on Okinawa, Japan, on August 18th. The incident occurred at Naha airport, which services commercial traffic on the island prefecture. Runway one was temporarily closed as a result of the crash.
