Icelandair mechanics call off strike action

Icelandair’s mechanics concluded their strike action after resuming work just before midnight on September 23rd. The strike, initiated at 00:01 local time on September 23rd, resulted in the cancellation of numerous flights by the carrier. The Icelandic Aircraft Mechanics Association (FVFI) was responsible for initiating the walkout. Flight engineers returned to duty following negotiations and a resolution. Operations have now been restored with Icelandair resuming flight schedules.
