Global Strike’s North Star Readiness Campaign bolsters operational readiness

The Air Force Global Strike Command initiated the "North Star Readiness Campaign" to enhance operational preparedness across its bomber fleet. This comprehensive effort involves collaboration between the Air Force Global Strike Command, Air Force Materiel Command, and the Defense Logistics Agency. The primary focus is on boosting the number of mission-ready B-52 Stratofortress and B-1 Lancer aircraft. Specifically, the campaign intends to increase the total number of these aircraft that are capable of executing their missions. Achieving this goal will significantly strengthen the command’s ability to respond to global challenges and maintain strategic deterrence.
