General Atomics looks to boost MQ-9B, Gambit strike capabilities

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (GA-ASI) is expanding its MQ-9B drone program through strategic partnerships with Kongsberg and MBDA. These collaborations focus on integrating advanced weaponry systems into the aircraft’s capabilities. Specifically, Joint Strike Missiles and Spear missiles are being considered for deployment by GA-ASI's uncrewed aircraft. A jointly funded design and integration effort between General Atomics and Kongsberg has successfully concluded the systems requirements review. This initiative aims to significantly enhance the MQ-9B’s strike potential, bolstering its role in future missions.
