Anduril, Embraer to give C-390 cruise missile capability via palletised launch

Anduril Industries and Embraer are collaborating to equip the C-390 tactical transport jet with a significant new capability: the ability to deploy precision weapons mid-air. This integration will utilize the Barracuda-500M (B-500M) cruise missile, loaded onto pallets for deployment through the aircraft’s rear cargo door. The memorandum of understanding between the two companies outlines this strategic partnership focused on enhancing the C-390's offensive capabilities. Specifically, the B-500M missiles will be transported aboard the C-390 in palletized configurations. This innovative approach represents a substantial advancement in tactical air support and logistical operations.
