France orders more Airbus U050 Capa-X drones

France’s Aeronautical Maintenance Directorate (DMAé) has expanded its fleet of unmanned aerial systems with a new order from Airbus Helicopters. The additional purchase encompasses four complete U050 Capa-X drone systems, marking a significant step in the nation's investment in this technology. Each system is comprised of two individual U050 Capa-X uncrewed aerial vehicles, totaling eight new drones for French operations. This follows a successful evaluation conducted late in 2025 regarding an initial Capa-X acquisition by the DMAé. France intends to utilize these advanced drones across various applications within their aeronautical capabilities.
