Eglin AFB Airmen mobilize for life-saving medical flight

The 413th Flight Test Squadron at Eglin AFB is prepared to respond to critical care flight requests originating from the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center. This unit serves as a last resort for community members needing immediate medical transport. They utilize UH-1 Huey helicopters, conducting developmental testing on aircraft like the UH-1, CV-22 and C-130. The squadron’s operations are coordinated with the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center. These flights provide vital support when other transportation options are unavailable or insufficient.
