“Easy Access”: United Airlines Testing Mobile App Food Delivery-To-Gate At Newark Liberty

United Airlines is currently conducting a pilot program in collaboration with OTG to test mobile app food delivery directly to gates at Newark Liberty International Airport. This initiative, dubbed “Easy Access,” aims to streamline passenger experiences by providing convenient access to meals and essential items before flights. The trial focuses on delivering food and other necessities from OTG’s retail outlets straight to passengers waiting at their departure gates. United and OTG are evaluating the feasibility of this new service as it has the potential to significantly alter traditional pre-flight procedures. Data collected during the testing phase will inform future decisions regarding expansion and implementation across other airports.
