De Havilland poised to start final assembly of first DHC-515, eyes 2028 delivery

De Havilland Canada anticipates delivering its inaugural DHC-515 water bomber in 2028 following the completion of final assembly. The aircraft is being manufactured in Calgary and represents a modernized version of the existing CL-415 design. Significant portions of the DHC-515 have already been produced, with the mid and forward fuselage sections currently undergoing integration. De Havilland expects to commence final assembly operations this year, marking a crucial step toward production readiness. This new water bomber will bolster firefighting capabilities for various operational needs.
