Investigators have released new details regarding the circumstances surrounding the July 28th, 2023, overrun of Flight VA173 at Munich Airport. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner experienced a rotation below its calculated takeoff speed, resulting in immediate contact with the ground. This initiated damage to several runway lights and significantly impacted the aircraft’s left main gear tires.
