Boeing Will Shift Engineers To 1st All-New Jet In 2 Decades After MAX 10 & 777-9 Certify

Boeing is planning to reassign engineers following the certification of its 777X and 737MAX10 aircraft. Kelly Ortberg, Boeing’s VP of Engineering Programs, announced this strategic shift as a key element in bolstering development efforts. The move will prioritize resources for the company's first new jet design in two decades – the 777X. This realignment aims to accelerate progress on both the 777-9 and MAX 10 programs which are currently undergoing final certification processes. Boeing anticipates these certifications will unlock significant engineering capacity for future projects.
