Archer Completes Piloted, Intercity Air Taxi Prototype Flight

Archer Aviation successfully completed a piloted flight of its Midnight air taxi prototype on October 26, 2023. The test occurred between Salinas, California, and Monterey, California, marking a significant milestone for the company’s intercity transportation ambitions. This inaugural flight represents the first time Archer has operated its aircraft between two cities. The Midnight prototype demonstrated operational capabilities during the approximately 14-mile journey. Following this successful demonstration, Archer plans to continue testing and development efforts as they prepare for commercial operations.
