Akasa adds up to seven 737-8200 aircraft in Avolon deal

Avolon has finalized a sale-and-leaseback transaction with Akasa Air, encompassing as many as seven Boeing 737-8200 aircraft. This agreement strengthens the existing partnership between the two companies and directly addresses Akasa Air’s strategy for fleet expansion. The purchase will bolster Akasa Air's growth within the Indian market, facilitating further network development. The 737-8200 is recognized as the highest-capacity version of the 737-8 MAX series. Avolon currently holds an existing partnership with Akasa Air, solidifying its role in supporting the airline’s operational ambitions.
