Wizz on track to be over GTF-related aircraft groundings by end of 2027

As of the end of June, Wizz Air operated 27 A320neo aircraft that were grounded due to Pratt & Whitney GTF engine issues. CEO Jozsef Varadi remains optimistic about resolving this challenge for the airline. He anticipates Wizz Air will be free from these grounding restrictions by December 31st, 2027. This represents a significant milestone in addressing operational disruptions caused by the GTF engine problems. The resolution would alleviate one of the key obstacles impacting Wizz Air’s performance.
