WATCH: ‘Ultraquiet’ Electric Aircraft Engines Power First Piloted Flight

A Swift 3 glider, equipped with Whisper Aero's innovative propulsion system, successfully completed its initial piloted flight on July 27th, 2023. The test took place at the company’s headquarters in California, marking a significant milestone for ultraquiet electric aircraft development. This particular iteration is being referred to as “ultraquiet” due to the design of the engines developed by Whisper Aero. The flight represents the first time a piloted vehicle has utilized this specific propulsion system. Further testing and refinement are planned following this successful inaugural demonstration.
